Floyd Mayweather Jr Be Warned! Manny Pacquiao has other options!

The talk of the town is the big showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. It is the fight on everyone's mind and rightfully so. You got the two Pound-for-Pound best in their primes. What is not to like? Well, I'll tell you what is not to like... long negotiations that could end up keeping this fight from happening for awhile. Hopefully this is not the case.

However if it is the case, if negotiations take longer than they should, making the fighters inactive, then we can at
least expect that team Pacquiao will not wait around. That is a good thing because no one wants to see Pacquiao or Mayweather Jr. at a stand still, at least not at this point in their careers.

In a recent interview conducted by David Tyler for DoghouseBoxing, Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer confirmed they would not wait around and become inactive should fight negotiations take too long.

When asked how long would Roach keep Pacquiao inactive if the negotiations with Mayweather just kept dragging along, Roach tells DoghouseBoxing: "Not too long. There are other options like the winner of the Mosley/ Berto fight or another Marquez fight. Another option that Manny would like is to fight Yuri Foreman. That would give Manny another belt and we can easily beat him."

So the names on the table, Shane Mosley, Andre Berto, Juan Manuel Marquez and Yuri Foreman are all names I am sure of that would love to fight Pacquiao... and personally, all names I wouldn't at all mind seeing Pacquiao up against..

There are plenty of options for Pacquiao should negotiations fail with Mayweather Jr. Personally, I want Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr. as soon as possible... but I am not willing to wait while both fighters collect dust during a slow drag out negotiation period. Thankfully if a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr showdown takes to long to come off...team Pacquiao will move on.
